Dr Ashwini Keshkamat qualified in 2002 in India and completed anaesthetic training in the cities of Mumbai and Bangalore in 2009, where she was awarded the Gold medal at the National Board of Examinations.

Moving to UK, she has been working in the NHS since 2011 and was elected to be the member of Council at the RCoA and trustee since March 2021.

She is the chair of the SAS committee and vice chair of the Equivalence committee. Other areas of work are through Examinations committee, Education, training and examinations board, Clinical quality and research board. She contributes to the College bulletin and writes blogs for the College website.

She has been one of the Clinical content leads at the Winter symposium of the College in Dec 2021 and has recorded podcasts. Her areas of interest are education, simulation and Obstetrics where human factors and team working play a pivotal role.
In her spare time she enjoys music and regional Indian dance.
