Abstract
Selective Trunk Block (SeTB) - An All Purpose Regional Anesthetic Technique for Upper Extremity Surgery.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1.     How to identify the Individual elements of the brachial plexus above the clavicle using ultrasound.
2.     How to selectively identify and block the trunks (superior, middle and inferior) of the brachial plexus.
3.     Effects of a SeTB on ipsilateral sensory-motor blockade and hemidiaphragmatic function.
4.     Discuss if a SeTB can anesthetize the entire upper extremity (except for the area of the arm innervated by the intercostobrachial nerve).
5.     Discuss if a SeTB can become the All Purpose Regional Anesthetic for upper extremity surgery like Spinal Anesthesia for lower extremity surgery.
