Dr Clara Poon is a consultant neuroanaesthetist at Queen Mary Hospital and an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Anaesthesiology, University of Hong Kong. She received her BSc at MIT (USA) and her medical training from the University of Hong Kong.
Neurovascular bypass procedures pose several challenges to anesthesiologists, but effective anaesthesia can be delivered with careful planning, good communication with surgeons and attention to detail. In this short presentation, we shall discuss some of the important considerations in the perioperative care of patients undergoing such procedures.
